Through the Faery Forest I wander

For here my mind is free to ponder

By the evergreen trees I kneel

Connecting with nature is how I heal

I don't believe there are any words to describe how much I love being in nature. It's a much smaller part of our lives in the modern world than I believe it should be. As an introvert with ADHD, at a time when I was dealing heavily with a chaotic mind, going into nature was indescribably healing. The solitude, peace and appreciation I felt during this difficult period of my life, was really needed. Now I show my appreciation through crafting and sharing content. I have an Etsy shop, a YouTube channel and an Instagram account (@faeryforestcrafts) dedicated to my love for nature.

If you want to try to connect with, and appreciate nature more, here are my suggestions. Please look into them further if you don't know what they are.

- Sit by a river/lake

- Go outside and just listen

- Forest bathing

- Find a spot in nature and declare it yours (a favourite tree, stone to sit on etc)

- Collect natural materials to decorate your home with

- Look at nature art

- Buy some plants

- Check out if there are any nature reserves or forests nearby

- Stare at the night sky
